Job Description
Shoot high-quality video for daily news coverage, special reports, and breaking news.
Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment in bothstudio and field environments.
Collaborate with reporters and producers to visuallyenhance storytelling.
Edit news packages, VOs, and VOSOTs using AdobePremiere Pro and other Adobe CreativeSuite tools.
Ensure all video content meets broadcast standards andis delivered on deadline.
Export and deliver final cuts for air and digital publication.
Work closely with reporters, producers, and assignmenteditors to execute editorial vision.
Participate in planning meetings and contribute ideas forvisual storytelling.
Maintain organized video archives and manage footagefor future use.
Troubleshoot equipment and software issues as needed.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve production quality.
Work assigned shifts. Shifts may change often. Fill in for absent co-workers if needed.
Ability to work other hours or alternate schedules including when called to cover breakingnews, as assigned by the Chief Photographer or News Director.
Drive company vehicle to and from stories under various driving conditions. Obey all trafficlaws and safety rules of the road while in a companyvehicle. Report any problems orconcerns with the vehicle and traffic incidents promptly toappropriate companyrepresentative. If assigned to take a news vehicle home,must follow take home carguidelines which included securing equipment and vehicle. Keep car clean and in good condition.
Ensure equipment is in good working condition. Minimum 1 year of experience in videography or video editing, preferably in a newsenvironment.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition isa plus.
Strong understanding of visual composition, lighting, and audio capture.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to breaking news scenarios.
Experience with live broadcasting and field production.
Familiarity with social media platforms and video optimization strategies.
Knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Ability to work alone and with a Reporter.
Must be reliable and able work additional hours if needed as well as travel as required.
Must possess valid driver`s license and clean driving record as determined by the Company.
Must be able listen to and respond verbally to others in English. Must have manualdexterity to operate camera and editing equipment. Must be able to move quickly insideand outside on uneven, unfamiliar terrain and areas. Work under tight deadlines and inpressure situations. Routinely moves camera equipment weighing up to 50 pounds in allkinds of weather across various terrains for news stories. Must be able to drive newsvehicles. Must be able to maintain stationary position for long periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
