Camp Full Job Description Camp Photographer Overview:

Asphalt Green is looking for an experienced photographer with a keen eye to capture the daily activities of our summer day camp. We offer a traditional camp experience in the heart of Manhattan at two locations- the Upper East Side and Battery Park City. We focus on building confidence, character, and community. This is a unique opportunity to build a strong, diverse portfolio with exposure to outdoor and indoor sports photography, portraiture, and event photography, all in one place.

Responsibilities:

Take photos of campers, staff, activities, trips, and special events throughout the camp day Organize, edit, and upload content to our parent portal Daily and in a timely manner Ensure photos reflect the camp's culture, values, and community Work closely with camp leadership to highlight important programs and events Create content for camp communications, marketing, newsletters, and social media as needed Follow all camp policies regarding child safety, privacy, and media usage Interact positively with campers, families, and staff while remaining professional and approachable Assist with additional camp duties and special projects as assigned Maintain and organize digital assets on the network server in a timely fashion. Work with the Marketing Department as photos are ultimately included in camp marketing materials Use Good judgment with regards to image quality and appropriateness is also crucial. Photos are reviewed daily by parents searching for images of their camper(s) having fun while at camp.

Qualifications:

Experience with photography and/or videography preferred Comfortable using DSLR cameras, smartphones, and basic editing software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Enthusiastic, creative, and energetic personality Experience working with children or in a camp setting is a plus Camp runs from Monday, June 29 to Friday, August 14, No camp July 3. Camp staff are required to be on the premises by 8:00 am and the day is over by 4:45 pm. A full summer commitment is required. All summer camp employees are required to attend orientation in the evenings of June 16 & 17, June 24-25 and full- day orientations on Saturday, June 20 and Saturday, June 27

$3,450.00 per month
