As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for setting and arranging text and images for various print and digital publications. This includes selecting fonts, adjusting spacing and alignment, and ensuring that the layout is visually appealing and easy to read.

Responsibilities:

• Set and arrange text and images for print and digital publications
• Select appropriate fonts based on design requirements
• Adjust spacing, alignment, and formatting as needed
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure the final product meets quality standards
• Review proofs for errors or inconsistencies
• Make necessary revisions or updates based on feedback from team members or clients
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
• Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency throughout a publication
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with design principles such as typography, layout, and color theory
