Job Description

WTAJ is searching for the next Videographer/Photographer to join our award-winning news team in Altoona, PA. We are Your News Leader in Central Pennsylvania, and we need an individual who can help tell compelling visual stories on air, online, and on our streaming channel WTAJ+. This is an excellent market to make you mark in broadcast and digital news. There's plenty of news to tell here! And there's plenty to do in Central PA, including outdoor activities, family entertainment, college sports, minor league baseball, and of course, Groundhog Day! We're also a short road trip to major cities like Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. The News Videographer/Photographer operates video cameras as well as live and streaming equipment. You'll cover a range of topics from news to sports. Records and edits content for WTAJ, WTAJ.com, and WTAJ+ Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements Sets up, composes and executes video shots Maintains video equipment Edits video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia content Operates live microwave and satellite trucks in remote situations Assist executive producer and show producer with aspects of overall show production, fill-in producing Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
High school diploma; some college coursework or vocational training preferred Minimum one year experience operating video recording equipment Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Flexibility to work any shift. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Fluency in English Valid Driver's License Proficiency with video recording equipment. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus!
