We specialize in modern youth sports photography for leagues and schools, including team and individual photo days. This is a 1099 contract position ideal for photographers who thrive in a fast-paced, organized environment and enjoy working with athletes, families, coaches, school staff, and youth sports organizations. The ideal candidate has experience with portrait photography, strong technical camera skills, and the ability to confidently direct athletes while delivering a positive photo day experience. Responsibilities Capture high-quality team and individual sports portraits in the Live Action Photography style Direct athletes confidently to create clean, modern, and consistent portraits Work efficiently during team and individual photo days to keep schedules running smoothly Deliver a positive and professional experience for athletes, parents, coaches, league staff, and school staff Maintain consistency in posing, lighting, and image quality Collaborate effectively with team members during high-volume photo day events Assist with setup and breakdown of photography and lighting equipment Upload and organize image files according to company workflow standards Requirements Proven photography experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical skill and creativity Experience with portrait photography and working with athletes preferred Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Strong understanding of camera settings, lighting, composition, and posing Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and punctuality Ability to work evenings and weekends during sports seasons Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn Ability to pass a background check Preferred Qualifications Experience photographing youth sports teams or school photography events Experience with off-camera flash lighting setups Familiarity with volume photography workflows preferred Owning professional camera equipment, including a 70-200mm lens, is a plus Compensation Competitive contract pay based on event type and experience Flexible scheduling Opportunity for growth with a rapidly expanding sports photography company Join Live Action Photography and help create exciting, professional images that athletes and families will treasure for years to come.
