Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Gallery Assistant, where your passion for art and design will help create an inspiring environment for visitors and artists alike. In this dynamic role, you will be the welcoming face of the gallery, ensuring smooth operations, engaging with visitors, and supporting the presentation of exhibitions on social media. Your creative eye and organizational skills will contribute to showcasing artwork beautifully while maintaining a lively, inviting atmosphere that celebrates creativity and innovation. Responsibilities Greet visitors warmly, providing information about current exhibitions and gallery events to enhance their experience Assist with the installation and deinstallation of artwork, ensuring proper handling and display according to curatorial standards Support the setup of promotional materials, including signage, digital displays, and marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator Maintain the cleanliness and organization of gallery spaces, including lighting adjustments and layout arrangements to optimize visual impact Coordinate with staff on event preparations, including workshops, openings, and educational programs Manage digital content updates for the gallery's website and social media platforms using instagram, facebook, and TikTok to promote exhibitions effectively Qualifications Demonstrated experience or strong interest in digital design, graphic design, or visual arts Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and familiarity with other design tools such as Figma or SketchUp Skills in photography, video production/editing (Adobe Premiere, After Effects), or 3D animation (Maya) are a plus Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively Strong communication skills with a passion for art and community engagement Prior experience in gallery operations or event coordination is advantageous but not required This role is ideal for creative, coachable individuals eager to immerse themselves in the arts while honing technical skills across digital media and design platforms.
