ABOUT SACRAMENTO REPUBLIC FC
Sacramento Republic FC is one of the most dynamic and community-driven clubs in American soccer and is entering the most transformational era in its history with the development of a new stadium in the heart of California's capital city. This project will redefine sports, entertainment, and culture in Sacramento for decades to come. As the Club prepares for this next chapter, content—especially video—will play a critical role in telling our story, engaging our fans, and driving business growth.
MANAGER OF VIDEO STRATEGY & PRODUCTION
OVERVIEW The Manager of Video Strategy & Production leads the development and execution of Sacramento Republic FC's video content strategy across all platforms. This role is responsible for shaping how the Club shows up through motion - capturing the emotion, energy, and identity of the brand while driving measurable impact across fan engagement, ticketing, partnerships, and community initiatives. This position blends creative leadership with hands-on production, overseeing the full lifecycle of video content, from concept to capture to final delivery, while collaborating closely with Marketing, Brand & Creative, Partnerships, and Community teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive video content strategy aligned with Club priorities, campaigns, and seasonal objectives
  • Identify key storytelling opportunities across matches, players, community initiatives, and the stadium development journey
  • Partner with Marketing to support ticket sales, memberships, and revenue-driving campaigns through video Content Creation & Production
  • Lead end-to-end video production including ideation, scripting, shooting, editing, and post-production
  • Capture high-quality content across match days, training sessions, events, and community activations
  • Produce a wide range of content including hype videos, social-first content, brand storytelling pieces, and sponsor deliverables Creative Leadership
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Brand & Creative to ensure all video content aligns with the Club's visual identity and tone
  • Contribute creative ideas and concepts that elevate the Club's storytelling and differentiate the brand
  • Help establish and maintain video standards, templates, and workflows Team & Project Management
  • Manage video production timelines, calendars, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
  • Coordinate freelancers, contractors, and vendors as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for video-related requests across the organization Platform Optimization & Performance
  • Create platform-specific content optimized for social media, web, in-stadium, and broadcast
  • Track performance metrics and adjust content strategy to improve engagement and reach
  • Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in sports and digital content
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in video production, content creation, or a related field (sports or entertainment preferred)
  • Strong storytelling ability with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality video work
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar)
  • Experience shooting with professional camera equipment and audio setups
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in sports, live events, or agency environments
  • Motion graphics and animation experience
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content performance metrics
  • Passion for soccer and the Sacramento community
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Position based in Sacramento, in office five days per week.
  • Significant evening, weekend, and matchday work required.
