Every project we produce is unique—designed specifically for the client and brought to life through collaboration between artists, designers, manufacturers, vendors, and our in-house production team. We're looking for an experienced Production Manager who enjoys turning creative concepts into finished products. What You'll Be Managing You'll oversee the production of custom visual solutions for commercial environments, including: Custom artwork programs Framed artwork Canvas artwork Wallcoverings Acrylic and specialty media Hospitality, healthcare, multifamily, and commercial interior projects No two projects are alike. Every order is custom, requiring thoughtful coordination between creative, manufacturing, logistics, and installation teams. Position Overview The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the production of custom artwork programs from approved design through final delivery. This role serves as the operational hub between Sales, Design, Purchasing, Vendors, Production, Shipping, and Installation to ensure projects are completed accurately, on schedule, and within budget. Success in this position requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex production schedules simultaneously. You'll balance craftsmanship with efficiency while maintaining the high-quality standards JVA clients have come to expect. The Production Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager. What You'll Do Production Planning & Scheduling Manage multiple custom production projects simultaneously. Develop and maintain detailed production schedules. Coordinate priorities across internal departments and outside vendors. Ensure projects remain on schedule while proactively identifying potential delays. Monitor production capacity and adjust schedules as priorities shift. Vendor & Manufacturing Coordination Coordinate production with printers, framers, fabricators, finishers, and specialty vendors. Issue purchase orders and production documentation. Track vendor performance, lead times, and delivery schedules. Resolve production issues quickly while maintaining project quality and deadlines. Source alternate manufacturing solutions when needed. Quality Control Review specifications before production begins. Verify materials, dimensions, finishes, and product accuracy. Inspect completed products for quality and consistency. Ensure finished products meet client expectations and JVA quality standards. Coordinate corrections when necessary. Logistics & Installation Coordination Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery timelines. Work with installation teams to ensure projects arrive complete and on time. Track shipments and resolve delivery issues when needed. Assist in planning installation logistics for larger commercial projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Sales, Project Management, Design, Accounting, and Operations. Translate creative concepts into executable production plans. Communicate production updates, scheduling changes, and potential risks. Participate in project planning meetings and production reviews. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency. Help refine production procedures and documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations. Maintain accurate production records within company software. Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience in production management, manufacturing, operations, or project coordination. Experience managing multiple custom production projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience coordinating vendors, suppliers, or manufacturing partners. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working cross-functionally with creative and operational teams. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
