As Production Manager, you will own the day-to-day production operations of our Bethel facility — from component to finished product release — building the systems, schedules, and culture that allow Powr2 to scale with quality and confidence. Production Planning & Scheduling Develop, publish, and manage daily and weekly production schedules aligned with customer delivery commitments. Drive accountability across the production team, tracking performance against schedule and escalating deviations promptly. Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure materials are available on time for each build. Balance workforce capacity and workflow across assembly stages to maximize throughput and minimize downtime. Establish and continuously improve production efficiency through time and motion studies; define, implement, and track standard times for each production stage to enable accurate scheduling, capacity planning, and performance measurement. Quality Management Implement and maintain rigorous quality management procedures spanning incoming goods inspection, in-process controls, and final product release. Develop, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and inspection checklists for all production stages. Partner with engineering and technical staff to investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Maintain quality records and reporting metrics; drive continuous improvement in first-pass yield and defect rates. Ensure products meet all applicable safety, performance, and client specifications before release. Team Leadership Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production technicians, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship. Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and skills gap assessments; identify and act on training needs. Set clear expectations and KPIs; recognize achievements and address performance issues decisively and fairly. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across the production floor. Collaborate closely with engineering on new product introductions, design-for-manufacturability feedback, and engineering change management. Work with procurement and supply chain on supplier quality issues and incoming material standards. Provide production status updates and metrics to leadership; flag risks proactively with recommended mitigations. Own and maintain all production documentation — including SOPs, work instructions, assembly schematics, and inspection records — ensuring documents are current, accessible, and consistently followed on the production floor. Develop and deliver structured onboarding and ongoing training programs for production staff, ensuring competency across all assembly stages and quality procedures. Maintain and continuously improve Health & Safety measures, conducting regular risk assessments, enforcing safe working practices, managing incident reporting, and ensuring full regulatory compliance. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Proven ability to build and manage detailed production schedules and hold teams accountable to them. Hands-on experience implementing or managing quality systems (incoming inspection, in-process QC, final release). Mechanical aptitude and solid understanding of assembly processes; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Electrical assembly or electromechanical manufacturing experience — essential for working with BESS technology.
Strong people management skills:
ability to inspire, coach, and hold a diverse team accountable with clarity and respect. High energy, a sense of urgency, and the flexibility and discipline to thrive in a fast-moving, growing company. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred). Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with battery, power electronics, or energy storage products. Comfortable working in ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling, inventory management, and order tracking. Experience working with or developing ISO 9001-aligned quality management systems. Who You Are A natural leader who earns respect on the shop floor and in the boardroom. Disciplined and detail-oriented — you build systems that stick and follow through relentlessly. Mechanically minded with an instinct for how things work and how to make them work better. Adaptable and calm under pressure — you pivot quickly and keep the team focused when priorities shift.
