Job Description

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather and organize video, sound bites, graphics, and other production elements. Collaborate with anchors, control room staff, and graphics departments to execute segments. Produce well-researched and thoughtfully structured interview segments with guests, both in studio and remote. Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously under tight deadlines. Pitch timely, creative, and original segment ideas aligned with the editorial direction of the show. Write and edit scripts, interview questions, banners, and segment materials. Track and monitor breaking news and quickly develop content aligned with a conservative lens. Adapt rapidly to shifting priorities in a dynamic live-television environment. Use sound editorial judgment and attention to detail to ensure standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
At least 3 years of national or large market local TV news production experience. Substantial control room and breaking news experience is required. Strong knowledge of current events and politics from a conservative perspective. Familiarity with creating full-screen graphics for broadcast. Experience editing with Adobe Premiere or similar platforms. Basic animation or motion graphics experience. Excellent writing, editing, and news-gathering abilities. Ability to research effectively using editorial tools and social media platforms. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to think critically and creatively under pressure. Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work full-time on-site in our Washington DC office. Ability to collect and analyze data and information for accuracy. Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, overnights, holidays, and weekends. Bachelor's degree preferred. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary - $65k to $80k depending on skills and relevant experience.
