DIGICARE BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INC.
is a thriving and dynamic South Florida manufacturer of Patient Monitoring Systems. We have been designing and manufacturing sophisticated technology medical systems for more than 25 years in Palm Beach County. Our proprietary products are for clinical health care markets in cardiology, intensive care, anesthesia monitoring, pediatrics, neonatology, emergency, veterinary and lab animal research. The Company's product lines focus on several different models for each individual patient monitoring market. We continue to bring innovation to this market segment by introducing our innovative products. Digicare has a global presence and products are used worldwide.
What we need:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize the manufacturing of our medical device product lines. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of production teams, ensuring that output meets quality, regulatory, cost, and on-time delivery targets within an FDA-regulated, ISO 13485 environment.
Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the manufacturing of Digicare Biomedical's medical device and biomedical products. This role ensures that production targets are met safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with quality standards. and regulatory requirements (including
FDA 31 CFR
Part 820 and
ISO 13485
). The Production Manager leads the production team, drives continuous improvement, and serves as a key link between operations, quality assurance, supply chain and engineering.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible to comply with Good Documentation Practices. Responsible to comply with all guidelines, procedures, and work instructions of the company as mandated by
ISO13485
Regulations and other related regulatory requirements. Responsible to participate in programs to support business goals of improving customer satisfaction, and to follow all company guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production operations to meet output, cost, and delivery targets. Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with
FDA, ISO
13485, GMP, and internal quality and safety standards. Manage, mentor, and develop production supervisors, technicians, and assemblers. Monitor production metrics (yield, throughput, scrap, downtime) and implement corrective actions to improve performance. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to investigate non-conformances, CAPAs, and deviations, and to maintain audit readiness. Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure adequate materials, components, and inventory levels. Use ERP/MRP systems to manage production scheduling, material requirements planning, inventory control, and work-order tracking. Collaborate with Engineering and R&D on new product introductions, process validation, and equipment qualification. Drive continuous-improvement and lean-manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Create work instructions as needed to support manufacturing processes and ensure consistent, compliant production. Review and update work instructions when applicable to reflect process changes, corrective actions, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and traceability in accordance with regulatory requirements. Manage department budgets, capital equipment planning, and resource allocation. Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental policies across the production floor.
Skill Requirements & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or a related field. 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a production leadership or managerial role. Experience in a regulated industry — medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology strongly preferred. Working knowledge of
FDA 21 CFR
Part 820, ISO 13485, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Certification in Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage. Strong leadership and team-management skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional staff. Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management systems (ERP/MRP). Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing and walking throughout the production floor for extended periods during the workday. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, components, or equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. (or in accordance with facility safe-lifting guidelines). Manual dexterity for handling small components, tools, and documentation. Ability to bend, reach, and occasionally work in cleanroom or controlled environments while wearing required PPE. Visual acuity sufficient for inspecting products and reviewing production documentation.
