Job Description

Overview We're seeking a part-time Audio Engineer to join our production team—someone who has strong audio skills and can help elevate the quality of our studio sessions and media projects. Your main focus will be recording, editing, and mixing audio. If you also have experience with video editing or basic filming , that's a big bonus, but not required. We're primarily looking for someone confident in the studio who is also open to supporting simple video tasks when needed. This part-time role offers steady weekly hours in a creative, fast-paced studio environment. Duties & ResponsibilitiesAudio Engineering (Primary Focus) Record clean, high-quality audio during studio sessions. Edit and mix audio using Pro Tools, Ableton, or similar DAWs. Operate microphones, interfaces, mixers, monitors, and studio equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues quickly to avoid delays during sessions. Perform audio enhancement including EQ, compression, and noise reduction. Assist with post-production tasks such as Foley, ADR, and sound design. Media Support (Bonus Skills) Collaborate with videographers to sync audio to visual content. Capture simple iPhone footage for marketing if a videographer isn't available. Edit basic content in Premiere or Final Cut (optional but appreciated). General Responsibilities Keep the studio clean, organized, and presentable before and after sessions. Maintain organized session files, stems, and documentation. Run light errands to Walmart or local stores when needed. Arrive on time and maintain clear communication. Schedule & Position Structure This is a part-time role with a consistent weekly schedule. Hours may vary depending on session bookings, but you will receive a set schedule in advance. Typical Part-Time Availability (example): 2-4 days per week Evenings and weekend availability preferred Flexible shifts based on studio needs (If you want, I can rewrite this section to match exact days and hours once you decide them.) Requirements Professional experience in audio recording, editing, and mixing. Strong proficiency with Pro Tools or Ableton Live . Good understanding of signal flow, gain staging, and basic audio processing. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with basic videography (bonus). Experience with Premiere or Final Cut Pro (bonus). Preferred Qualifications Experience contributing to video or mixed-media projects. Skills in video editing or short-form content creation. Background in filming or camera operation (optional).
