Job Description

Home Guard Industries is a manufacturer of Vinyl Windows, Entry Doors, and Security / Storm Doors. We are a family owned business for 43 years. Family owned allows us to be a debt free business where each and every employee is highly valued. Our business supports both the high end new construction and home remodeling industry. We pride ourselves on trying to build the best windows and doors in the industry. In addition to the listed benefits, there is also a year-end discretionary bonus program. Experience and qualifications required outlined below. As a production department Manager at Home Guard you are responsible for providing direction to your Team Leader and your twenty-five plus production team members. This includes ensuring that all procedures and instructions are properly followed to effectively produce high quality windows and doors in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities

Coordinate employee activities. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy production environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential concerns. Leadership/Coaching/Mentoring of those under your direction. Train and coach employees on production instructions and requirements. Maintain the production processes by observing process volumes, recommending process adjustments. Complete production processes by supervising progress; expediting material flow and work results; resolving problems. Improves process workflow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; testing new methods. Assist your manufacturing team with the creation and implementation of continuous improvement activities and events. Assist in all items associated with the quality system. Maintain acceptable customer quality standards; maintain the quality of production; take necessary corrective action to improve. Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance. Monitor employee attendance and assist in maintaining attendance records. Maintain discipline within the department. Maintain daily timekeeping and production records. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2-5 years experience in management and leading hourly workforce Team base problem solving Leadership/Coaching Experience Self-motivated. Good organizational skills. Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
