Compensation:
Stipend ($200 per week) and academic credit available (as approved by Universities) Local hires only, M&D will not be able to provide housing for Intern About M&D Playhouse M&D Playhouse is a nonprofitmunity theater dedicated to producing high-quality theatrical experiences, fostering arts education, and engaging audiences throughout the Mount Washington Valley region. Position Summary M&D seeks a summer intern either currently enrolled, or having just graduated from a collegiate theatre program. The Theater Production Manager Summer Intern will work closely with artistic, technical, and administrative staff to support the planning and execution of summer productions and educational programming. This internship provides hands-on experience in theatrical production management, scheduling,munication, logistics, and backstage operations. The ideal candidate isanized, proactive, and interested in pursuing a career in theater production, stage management, arts administration, or technical theater. They are currently enrolled or have just graduated from a collegiate theatre program. Responsibilities
  • Assist with production scheduling and calendar management
  • Coordinatemunication between directors, designers, technicians, and cast members
  • anize production meetings and distribute meeting notes
  • Track production deadlines and project milestones
  • Support rehearsal and performance operations
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and backstage logistics
  • Maintain production documents, contact lists, and technical paperwork
  • oversee equipment, props, costumes, and set inventory
  • Provide support during load-in, technical rehearsals, performances, and strike
  • Perform additional administrative and production-related duties as assigned Qualifications Preferred candidates will have:
  • Current enrollment in or recentpletion of a theater, arts administration, stage management, technical theater, or related program
  • Stronganizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbalmunication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
  • Interest in collaborative artistic environments
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by rehearsal and performance schedules Prior production, stage management, or technical theater experience at the academic or professional level is required. Learning Opportunities Interns will gain experience in:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and move throughout rehearsal and performance spaces
  • Comfortable working in backstage and technical environments
