Audio/Visual (AV) Production Manager Position Summary The Audio/Visual (AV) Production Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, planning, execution, and oversight of all audiovisual operations supporting meetings. Conventions, banquets, entertainment events, and special production throughout the property. This position manages the AV department's personnel, equipment, budgets, vendor relationships, and operational standards while ensuring exceptional client experiences and flawless event execution. The AV Production Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, event planner, convention services, banquet operations, and technical teams, translating client objectives into successful event productions, The role combines hospitality leadership, technical expertise, business acumen, and operational management to maintain South Point's reputation as a premier destination for meetings and events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Department Leadership & Management Lead, supervise, and develop AV technicians, lead technicians, and freelance staff Establish department goals, performance standards, and operating procedures, Conduct hiring. Onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations Create staffing plans and schedules based on event requirements and business volume Event Production Management Oversee all AV requirements from meetings, conventions, galas, trade shows, and special events Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floorplans, production schedules, and technical riders Conduct client consultations, site visits, and production meetings Client Relations & Sales Support Act as the primary AV contact for clients, meeting planners, presenters, exhibitors, and vendors Develop customized AV solutions that meet client objectives and budgets Technical Operations & Quality Control Maintain operational excellence across all audios, video, lighting, streaming, and presentation systems Ensure all AV equipment is properly tested, maintained, and event-ready Develop standards for signal flow, equipment deployment, troubleshooting, and system configuration Monitor event execution to ensure production quality and client satisfaction Serve as final escalation point for major technical issues Required
- 5 + years of professional AV production experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience supporting hotel convention centers, casinos, or large-scale event operations
- Strong knowledge: o Professional audio systems o Video switching and projection systems o Lighting systems and control o Live streaming and hybrid event technologies o Event production workflows
- Strong understanding of BEOs, floor plans, technical riders, and production schedules
- Preferred o CTS Certification o CTS-D Certification o
ETCP Certification Pay:
$85,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
