POSITION JOB RESPONSIBILITIES PROFILE
Position Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Production Intern to join its Visual Merchandising team, supporting the Retail Animations team in New York City. As a Production Intern, you will have the opportunity to support the production of pop-ups and in-store activations, assisting with the compilation of budget proposals, samples, installation schedules, and tracking project progression throughout the production process. Job responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Gain hands-on experience by supporting the production of diverse projects, from engaging pop-ups to intricate in-store animations. Learn to assist Production Directors in the critical process of comparing vendor samples, colors, and materials against Paris control samples. Contribute to the development of budget proposals, gaining insight into project financial planning. Support the creation of detailed project schedules and run-of-show documents for installations, helping to identify daily action items. Develop creative assets such as shot lists and video storyboards for photography needs. Learn effective vendor communication through following up on quotes, samples, and project progress. Assist in compiling comprehensive project documentation, including photo recaps, budget comparisons, and timelines. Participate in exploring and analyzing alternative materials to optimize project value. Practice professional communication by sending files and feedback to vendors. Develop organizational skills by monitoring sample statuses and compiling comparative spreadsheets. Cultivate the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities effectively. Profile The ideal candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a strong visual sensibility. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including budgeting, formulas, and pivot tables, as well as other Microsoft Suite programs, is essential. A foundational knowledge of 3D imaging software is required, with Rhino preferred (Sketch-up accepted), along with a willingness to expand upon current knowledge. The ability to decipher architectural drawings and technical schematic plans is crucial. This opportunity requires a proactive individual who works with a sense of urgency, can reprioritize efficiently, and is eager to learn new programs independently. Knowledge of other languages is a plus. Criteria Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a degree in related field of study Able and willing to work at assigned location or able and willing to relocate to NYC We are open to Full-time summer or 6-month contract starting June 1st. Legally authorized to work in the US Compensation Undergraduate Interns will be compensated at: $20/hour Graduate Interns will be compensated at $25/hour Please note that restrictions may apply to part-time and seasonal employees The position requires 4-5 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
