  • Growth, Innovation & Lean Leadership Job Summary As a Production Manager at Altum LLC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping both our people and our processes during an exciting period of rapid growth.
The Production Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for building, developing, and coaching a diverse and talented manufacturing team while driving continuous improvement across all production operations. The role includes hiring, directing, disciplining, training, and assisting up to 20 manufacturing employees in a factory setting and requires hands on involvement in manufacturing processes during early growth stages. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast‐paced, evolving environment and is passionate about developing people, optimizing workflows, and implementing lean manufacturing practices that scale with a young company. Success in this role will create significant opportunities for long‐term career growth and advancement. Current Manufacturing Landscape Altum is currently a 2 shift operation : 7:00AM-3:30PM & 3:30PM-12:00

Thermoplastic Lamination; CNC Routing; Plastics Sheet Priming , Preparing, and Quality Review Key Responsibilities Employee Growth & Team Development Build a high‐performing team through intentional coaching, mentorship, and skills development. Provide structured training and cross‐training opportunities to expand employee capabilities. Offer individualized growth pathways and performance feedback. Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members who align with our culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Operational Excellence & Process Development Lead daily production operations with a focus on stability, scalability, and efficiency. Support your teams to meet daily, weekly and Monthly production goals. Develop, refine, and document standard operating procedures as the company grows. Collect and analyze production data and workflow patterns to meet planned output goals. Collaborate with leadership to design systems that support long‐term operational expansion. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Identify inefficiencies and lead structured problem‐solving initiatives to eliminate waste. Create and deploy lean tools such as 5S, visual management, standardized work, and root‐cause analysis. Champion a culture of continuous improvement by empowering employees to contribute ideas and participate in improvement events. Evaluate equipment, processes, and layout to support flow, reduce downtime, and improve throughput. Safety, Quality & Culture Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Promote safety awareness and identify opportunities for improvement in alignment with company safety programs. Foster a positive, collaborative culture where employees feel supported, respected, and motivated. Leadership & Communication Communicate expectations clearly and consistently while monitoring and evaluating performance. Resolve conflicts, support employee well‐being, and maintain a productive work atmosphere. Work directly with company ownership to align production goals with organizational strategy. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing. High school diploma or GED required; technical or engineering degree preferred. Experience operating within a formal safety program. Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization. Proficiency with MS Office and production planning tools. Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, rapidly growing manufacturing environment. Understanding of machine components, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
