Job Description

multimedia producer and studio manager ShopSmith USA Dayton, OH Job Details Full-time From $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications DaVinci Resolve Branding Content creation Filmmaking equipment Product demos Adobe After Effects Motion graphics Full Job Description ShopSmith is seeking a versatile, technically-minded Videographer & Multimedia Producer to lead the design, construction, and daily operation of our new video demonstration and podcast studio. This is a high-impact role for a creator who loves both the "build" and the "broadcast." You will be responsible for taking an empty space and transforming it into a high-end production hub, then transitioning into our primary videographer and editor to produce technical demonstrations, brand storytelling, and podcast content. Core Responsibilities Studio Infrastructure (Phase 1): Lead the technical design of the studio environment, including lighting grids, acoustic treatments, camera positioning for technical demonstrations, and cable management.
Production & Cinematography:
Act as the lead camera operator for all studio and field productions. You must be comfortable capturing detailed, high-resolution footage of technical processes and equipment.
Post-Production:
Manage the full editing lifecycle—ingesting footage, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics—to produce polished, professional content for web and social platforms.
Technical Operations:
Select and maintain all hardware and software. Develop streamlined workflows that allow for rapid content turnaround and high-quality live-streaming capabilities.
Asset Management:
Organize and archive raw footage and project files within a structured internal library to ensure long-term scalability.
Required Experience & Skills Professional Portfolio:
3+ years of experience in video production, specifically showcasing technical/product demonstrations or instructional content.
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of professional cinema cameras (Sony, Blackmagic, or similar), studio lighting techniques, and multi-track audio recording.
Editing Mastery:
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve . Experience with After Effects for motion graphics is highly preferred. The "Maker"
Mindset:
You should be comfortable with the physical setup of a studio—mounting monitors, configuring rack-mounted audio gear, and optimizing a workshop-style environment for film.
Strategic Thinking:
Ability to translate brand goals into compelling visual narratives that move a viewer from novice to expert. Work Environment & Culture This is not a remote "desk-only" job. You will be the architect of our visual presence, working directly with the leadership team to relaunch and define the look of a legacy brand. We value precision, technical curiosity, and a drive to create the best instructional media in the industry.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
