Full Job Description Position Summary:
As the Aseptic Production Manager, you will lead the efficient and safe operation of Aseptic filling machines and associated equipment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the overall safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity of the filling lines. This pivotal role involves coordinating, setting up, and operating aseptic filling machines to meet production schedules and uphold quality standards. Additionally, you will play a crucial part in troubleshooting downstream line equipment issues while providing leadership to the entire production line. Why work for Gregory Packaging Inc. Responsibilities and Duties:
Safety and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all employees adhere to safety, food safety, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Production Efficiency:
Review production schedules to guarantee accurate equipment setups and the availability of materials, maximizing overall efficiency.
Quality Control:
Oversee essential quality checks, such as packing integrity, transversal seal, longitudinal seal, dye test, organoleptic test, and paper splice.
Machine Operation and Maintenance:
Supervise the setup, Clean in Place (CIP), Clean out of Place (COP), monitoring, and operation of aseptic filling machines. Ensure equipment is well-maintained, identifying and reporting any mechanical problems to the maintenance team.
Cleaning and Sanitization:
Oversee all functions related to cleaning and sanitizing equipment and the work area to meet industry standards.
Training and Shift Handoff:
Manage the aseptic operator training program, ensuring operators are well-trained and competent. Facilitate a proper shift handoff between outgoing and oncoming operators.
Documentation and Inspections:
Complete production inspections, checks, and paperwork in a professional manner, adhering to established standards.
Flexible Schedule:
Work with a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekend shifts, to meet production demands.
Process Standardization:
Standardize processes, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions for aseptic operations across all locations.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document best practices, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry standards. Physical Requirements, Work Environment Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to constantly stand/walk throughout the shift. Significant visual acuity for computer screen, small objects on the line or equipment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Skills:
Team Player. Attention to detail. Strong work ethic. Able to perform basic math functions. Great interpretation and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of manufacturing experience or working in a production environment. Able to read and write. Clear background check and drug screen, if applicable.
