Job Description

Are you interested in local government and public affairs? Do you like to work with the public? Do you want to produce media that makes a difference? Town Meeting TV records, airs, and archives municipal meetings and public events for the communities of Burlington, South Burlington, Essex, Essex Junction, Winooski, Williston and Colchester. Help open the doors to local democracy and keep the community informed about what is going on in your neighborhood. If democracy means more to you than meetings and if you also love the local meetings of democracy, this is a great job for you! Town Meeting TV is hiring a part-time, field producer to cover Chittenden County municipal meetings and public events for its government access TV channels and website ). Meetings typically take place during evening hours with some weekend event coverage.
Qualifications for the position:
Experience with video production in field settings. Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, OBS, New Blue Titler, remote meeting platforms (ex. Zoom, Go To Meeting, Microsoft Teams), and livestreaming a plus. Interest in transparent and open local government. Customer service focus. Experience working with the public. Attention to detail. Responsive communication skill. Able to work evenings. Able to lift up to 45 pounds. Valid Driver's License. Available and functioning vehicle. Must have open availability Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday evenings. Scheduling will vary from week-to-week. Other work opportunities may be available throughout the workweek and on weekends.
Compensation:
$22.11/hour
Deadline:
