No Position Purpose The Post-production Manager position supports all Film & Media Studies courses that include video, sound, animation, and/or time-based components. The manager will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to carry out curricular goals for Film & Media Studies, including planning, equipment maintenance, and curricular support for digital media. In addition, the Post-production Manager will maintain the analogue film suites, animation labs, and editing suites. They will work with the Technical Director to develop and deliver workshops and learning modules that advance course needs and support student projects. Description The Post-production Manager supports all Film & Media Studies courses that include video, sound, animation, and/or time-based components. The manager will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to carry out curricular goals for Film & Media Studies, including planning, equipment maintenance, and curricular support for digital media.   • Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities BA or BFA degree in Electronic Media, Film, Graphic Design, Studio Art, or related areas; and/or a combination of education in different disciplines.
Candidates will have experience working in education in K-12, higher ed, or community settings
Equipment:
Mac Knowledge of 16mm filmmaking Equipment inventory experience
Software:
Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects, InDesign, and Audition Knowledge on use of flatbed scanners and digital workflow Creative problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively with less-or non-technical users, often under pressure, while maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software Candidates will have experience facilitating technical workshops and/or teaching production methods Preferred Qualifications MFA degree in related field Experience as an artist, filmmaker, designer, or interdisciplinary practitioner Basic knowledge of data wrangling and data visualization, Rhino, AutoDesk, Autocad, Revitt, coding, physical computing (such as Raspberry PI and Arduino) and/or willingness to learn is a plus Department Contact for Recruitment Inquiries Erin E. Percentage Of Time 25% Description Providing backup support to Technical Director, Production Space and Cage Manager, and Digital Technician Specialist. Percentage Of Time 10%
