The Colonial Theatre Westerly, RI US JOB DETAILS DESCRIPTION The Colonial Theatre of Westerly, Rhode Island presents a professional theatre festival production outdoors in Wilcox Park, free to the public. The Theatre Internship Program is a unique work and learning experience that helps make the magic happen. Interns support productions including The Roommate, The Colonial Reading Series, and The Marry Wives of Windsor. The Colonial Theatre of Rhode Island ismitted to producing professional theatre of the highest quality, which includes providing an outdoor, summer Theatre Festival, and to establishing a series of educational programs and training opportunities for both children and adults designed to enhance both knowledge and appreciation of Theatre Arts. The Colonial holds an equally strongmitment to ourmunity: that its productions, overall, be both broadly appealing and challenging; that ticket prices be free or affordable, that local serviceanizations and other non-profits receive our support for their endeavors, and that Colonial Theatre's offerings be a source of inspiration and education as well as entertainment. Interns will: Work under the mentorship of seasoned artists and theatre professionals and contribute to the production of professional theatrical performances. Experience hands-on learning in all aspects of theatre production, including Performance, Scenic Construction, Stage Management, Sound and Lighting Operations, Costuming, Marketing, and Box Office Operations. Take on responsibilities in their individual interests and career goals. The Colonial Theatre Internship Program is designed for students and emerging professionals who are passionate about theatre and eager to learn through direct experience. Whether your interests lie onstage, backstage, or in Arts Administration, this internship provides a valuable opportunity to build skills, expand your professional network, and gain insight into the operation of a producing theatrepany.
