Associate Manager, Production Control Warehousing Tesla Motors, Inc. paid holidays, flex time, 401(k) United States, Texas, Austin Jun 12, 2026 What to Expect The Associate Manager, Production Warehousing, plays a critical role in optimizing the storage, movement, and distribution of material within Tesla's high-volume manufacturing environment. This position focuses on enhancing warehouse efficiency, ensuring seamless material flow to support vehicle production lines, and driving cost-effective logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage industrial engineering principles to design and refine warehouse layouts, manage last-mile transportation, and oversee budgeting for third party logistics service providers (3PLs). This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced, innovative setting, contributing to Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable abundance. What You'll Do Directly manage a team of Tesla Leaders, Tesla/Third Party Logistics Material Handlers, and support staff. Providing technical training, performance feedback, and safety coaching to ensure high reliability and engagement Lead the designinput, implementation, and continuous optimization of warehouse layouts to maximize spaceutilization, minimize material handling times, and support just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices for automotive components Analyze and improve material flow processes using industrial engineering tools such as value stream mapping, simulation modeling, and lean methodologies to reduce bottlenecks and enhance throughput in warehousing operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, procurement, andprocessengineering) to forecast material needs and ensure alignment between warehouse operations and manufacturing schedules Oversee last-mile strategies including route optimization, carrier selection, and delivery scheduling fortimely, cost-efficient inbound/outbound automotive partslogistics; develop and administer budgets for third-party providers via RFP processes, performance monitoring, and cost-benefit analyses to achieve savings whilemaintainingservice levels Implement enhancements using WMS and ERP tools to track KPIs like inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and storage density; conduct regular audits and root-cause analyses toidentifyinefficiencies and propose scalable solutions for high-volume automotive warehousing. Guide team members and collaborate with external vendors on warehouse expansions or technology integrations, such as automation and RFID tracking Lead warehousing initiatives adhering to OSHA standards and Tesla's safety/environmental policies to promote a secure operational environment.
