Outlaw Conversions is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee all operations within the production facility. This role partners closely with production line leadership to ensure units are completed on schedule while upholding the companys quality standards. The ideal candidate maintains a high level of focus and sound judgment to support effective decision-making that benefits the organization. Responsibilities Partner with company leadership to ensure production goals and expectations are consistently met. Lead and facilitate regular production team meetings. Support Line Supervisors with employee performance management, including evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary. Collaborate with Human Resources to identify staffing needs and recruit qualified candidates for production roles. Assist the Safety Manager in risk management efforts, accident prevention, and delivering safety training as needed. Coordinate the movement of trailers between bays within the production area. Ensure quality standards are met by verifying units are built to specifications, reviewing job checklists, sourcing missing parts, and inspecting units before advancing to the next stage. Identify and implement process improvements for employees and work areas. Work directly with team members to resolve production challenges and improve workflow. Maintain and update production schedules and related documentation. Communicate production issues, errors, and rework needs in a timely manner. Follow up with employees to ensure tasks and directives are completed effectively. Verify production readiness, including availability of materials and parts, to support efficient and high-quality builds. Skills & Qualifications Proven ability to lead and manage multiple production teams across various departments, including fabrication, electrical, and finish-out Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees, enforce accountability, and develop team performance Experience in acustom manufacturing environment, with the ability to manage multiple builds at different stages simultaneously Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to keep production on schedule in a fast-paced setting Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate between production staff, office personnel, leadership, and occasionally dealers or customers Ability to interpret build sheets, design changes, and specifications, and translate them into clear direction for production teams High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality and craftsmanship standards throughout the build process Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address production challenges, design changes, and material issues Experience coordinating workflow between production bays to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime Strong understanding of production readiness, including labor, materials, and parts availability Knowledge of shop safety practices and ability to promote and enforce a safe work environment Ability to follow up and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
Preferred:
Prior experience in trailer manufacturing, RV manufacturing, or similar industries Hands-on knowledge of welding, electrical systems, plumbing, and interior finish-out Basic computer skills for scheduling, tracking, and reporting Bilingual in English and Spanish
