Job Description

SpeedPro Northern Virginia is a growing large format printing company based in Sterling, Va. with a mission to create superior signage solutions for businesses in the DMV region. SpeedPro NOVA's professionalism, personal touch, and creative solutions are unique characteristics which increase brand awareness for our clients. SpeedPro NOVA is looking for a Production Manager to plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of the large format printing department, including printing, design, file set up and inventory. The ideal candidate will be motivated, with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Our operation includes solvent and UV hybrid large format printers, laminator, CNC router, and vinyl plotter. The Production Manager must have a strong hands-on, production-oriented mentality and understand the importance of production in a time-sensitive environment. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards while managing staff, equipment, and workflow efficiency. They must be able to multi-task and handle daily completion pressures. Strong organizational skills and an efficiency mind-set are a must with the ability to meet daily work quotas to ensure rapid production of finished products. A customer service first personality is also a must. Graphic design skills required.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the large-format print production department Manage production schedules to meet deadlines and client expectations Coordinate with sales team to ensure accurate job execution Supervise and train print operators, finishers, and production staff Monitor quality control across all stages (printing, finishing, packaging) Ensure proper operation and maintenance of large-format equipment Optimize workflow processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste Maintain inventory of materials (vinyl, substrates, inks, laminates, etc.) Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions Work with vendors and suppliers for materials and equipment Prep, RIP and transfer of files for printers, the plotter/cutter and the router Set up file and design
Existing Skills Required:
Experience with large format printing equipment Experience managing staff Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written Able to work independently Able to lift 50 lbs Self-motivated Highly organized and critical thinking ability High School degree or higher Computer skills Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator Available to work occasionally after hours and weekends as production demand dictates If you are looking to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, send your resume and salary requirements.
