We are looking for a full-time medical historian, with a good sense of what makes an interesting angle to a story, to juggle all the moving parts of psychological reports. You will meet with clients before they meet with licensed psychologists and obtain a detailed psychosocial history. Please note that client experiences may contain intense experiences, for example, domestic abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking and more. Context for the interview may also include a workplace injury or personal injury lawsuit. Although not for the lighthearted, your work impacts the clients lives in a positive manner. Responsibilities Have appointments with clients, scheduled by front office and yourself Take detailed pscyho social histories Take Payments Provide narrative psychosocial histories for the doctor within 1 day Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors Rewrite text to make it easier for readers to understand Reschedule appointments as needed Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Psychology or sociology Experience within the mental health field Requirements Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio Excellent customer service Empathetic means of relating Hands-on experience with MS Office Excellent written skills in English An eye for detail along with critical thinking Prioritizing and multitasking Spanish Speaking Skills Set publication standards and establish goals and expectations Suggest stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with the targeted audience's preferences Oversee layout and check content for accuracy and errors Proofread, edit and improve stories or pieces Comply with ethical guidelines Meet deadlines
