Job Description
equired Typesetter for Canadian Publishing House We are seeking a highly skilled Typesetter to join our Canadian publishing house in Akron. This is a full-time position, and candidates must have experience in typesetting for the publishing industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Typeset manuscripts, proofs, and other materials according to publishing house standards
- Ensure accuracy of all text and layout elements
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Troubleshoot any technical issues or errors in typesetting process
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry best practices and software updates
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in typesetting for the publishing industry
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong understanding of typography and layout principles
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
- Time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
