About Us We are a creative publishing and product development company specializing in licensed, child-centric content. Our portfolio includes coloring and activity books, storybooks, and novelty kits and sets designed to inspire creativity and fun for children. We partner with well-known brands and licenses to bring engaging, high-quality products to market. Position Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Experienced Proofreader to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that all written and printed materials meet the highest standards of accuracy, readability, and brand consistency. You will review a wide range of children's products, ensuring content is error-free, age-appropriate, and aligned with licensing requirements. Key Responsibilities Proofread and review a variety of materials, including: Coloring and activity books Storybooks and early readers Packaging, instructions, and novelty kits Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors Ensure consistency in tone, style, and voice across all products Verify adherence to brand guidelines and licensing requirements Check content for age appropriateness and clarity for young audiences Review layouts for text accuracy within design files (PDFs, print proofs, etc.) Collaborate with Art Directors and designers Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines Qualifications 3+ years of professional proofreading experience (publishing, children's media, or consumer products preferred) Exceptional attention to detail and strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation Experience proofreading designed materials and print-ready files Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Preferred Skills Background in children's publishing or educational content Experience working with licensed characters/brands Basic understanding of design/layout tools (Adobe Acrobat; InDesign is a plus) Sensitivity to age-appropriate language and learning levels What We Offer Opportunity to work on fun, creative, and meaningful products for children Collaborative and fast-paced work environment Compensation based on experience How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter highlighting your proofreading experience.
