Community News Reporter The Nassau County Record seeks a full-timereporter/photographer. The Record was awarded the overall General ExcellenceAward by the Florida Press Association in 2025 and is a finalist for the awardthis year, with winners announced this summer. The Record has won more than 50FPA awards this decade alone and prides itself as a community journalismnewsroom with strong skills.

The right candidate for the reporter/photographer positionshould have journalistic writing abilities and the capability to write news andfeature stories in addition to the occasional sports story. This position is adual role - applicants who are only interested in photography will not beconsidered. This role also primarily focuses on news stories, with theoccasional sports story. It is NOT a sports-focused position, though thereporter will attend games to capture photos. Some nights hours are required,including Friday nights during the fall for football coverage. Occasionalweekend events must also be covered, but are infrequent. Knowledge of AP Styleis essential, but can be learned on the job.
