This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver compelling weather forecasts and entertainment stories to our Spanish-speaking audience. The ideal candidate will bring energy, professionalism, and a passion for storytelling, ensuring viewers stay informed and entertained. You will be responsible for creating engaging content across multiple platforms, including live broadcasts, social media, and digital outlets, all while maintaining accuracy and journalistic integrity. This paid position is perfect for a motivated communicator eager to make a positive impact through energetic reporting and captivating storytelling. Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm EST. Audition tape required. Responsibilities Deliver accurate and lively weather forecasts in Spanish during live broadcasts, ensuring clarity and engagement with viewers Report on entertainment news, including celebrity updates, cultural events, and trending topics relevant to the Spanish-speaking community Produce, shoot, and edit video segments that are visually appealing and aligned with journalistic standards Manage social media channels by creating compelling posts, engaging with followers, and promoting upcoming segments or stories Conduct research to verify facts, gather background information, and stay updated on current weather patterns and entertainment trends Write clear, concise scripts using AP style guidelines to ensure consistency and professionalism in all content Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and editors to produce high-quality visual content that enhances storytelling efforts Qualifications Fluency in Spanish and English with excellent communication skills in both languages Proven experience in journalism or broadcast media, preferably as a weather anchor or entertainment reporter Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging scripts and social media content Proficiency in AP style writing standards for clarity and professionalism Knowledge of social media management tools and digital content strategies Attention to detail with excellent proofreading and copy editing abilities to ensure accuracy Ability to research effectively, fact-check information thoroughly, and maintain journalistic integrity Experience working under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output Join us in delivering energetic, transparent news that informs and entertains our diverse Spanish-speaking audience!
