Job Description

Looking for an experienced journalist with excellent reporting skills to join our team. Government and general assignment reporter in coastal southern Palm Beach County, to cover town and city news, quality-of-life issues and enterprise stories for award-winning monthly community newspaper. Responsibilities Develop and write 6-8 stories monthly, plus government meeting briefs. Job requires the successful candidate to attend or cover municipal meetings, write enterprise news stories, and develop contacts and sources (including government officials, community leaders and residents). Qualifications Journalism degree or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years' experience in field. Excellent knowledge of AP style and Microsoft Word. Seeking candidates with superior writing skills and ability to produce clean copy. Ability to work well with others and good communication skills a must. Must be able to attend meetings in southern Palm Beach County. Salary negotiable.
