High on the coverage priority list is St. George, a brand-new city of 86,000, along with the host of agencies that serve Baton Rouge, St. George and the three other towns in East Baton Rouge Parish. We're searching for someone who can smartly report on developments while digging up bigger enterprise stories in a competitive news market.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop story ideas based on beat reporting or as assigned Create relationships with people in the community and government agencies to develop access to credible sources for future stories Quickly post stories online as appropriate and develop them further as needed. Use social media tools to develop, distribute and enhance stories.
