Job Description

The St. Louis Blues seek qualified candidates who are passionate about writing and interested in a future career in editorial or digital marketing to serve as a season-long Editorial Content Intern. This individual will receive real-world experience (and bylines) for an NHL team while also learning the ins-and-outs of managing the digital presence for a professional sports organization. The Editorial Content Intern will work on projects ranging across the organization, from team coverage to marketing initiatives and community events. This internship is for the 2026-2027 Season. This is a paid role based in St. Louis, MO. Interns must be on-site and available to work up to 29 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pitch, develop and produce written pieces for stlouisblues.com, including features, news, blogs, gameday content and more Assist with the ideation and creation of engaging content for use across Blues digital channels, including social media, website and mobile app Assist with implementing and managing features across Blues digital platforms primarily surrounding the website and app Support digital team's efforts throughout the season with gameday content, promotions, theme nights and special events Work with marketing team to conceptualize and pitch ideas for the app, website, social media and/or video features Communicate with fans via Blues digital channels and Bluenatics in a timely and professional manner Research and compile evolving digital marketing and technology trends across industries Opportunity to work collaboratively with and learn from other departments across the organization, including marketing, sponsorship, sales, retail, game entertainment and community relations Other duties as assigned Qualifications Journalism, communications, digital media or related degree preferred Strong writer with experience writing news and blog-style pieces a must Innovative person who is looking to put their creativity to work and interested in pursuing a future career in digital marketing or content Willing to work efficiently under deadlines to produce high quality, accurate work Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail, are a must Ability to operate and communicate professionally and effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Proactive individual that is eager to think outside the box Must be able to work a flexible schedule around game days/nights, including weekends Experience with Photoshop and social media is a plus but not required We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
