Job Description

A great communicator with a nose for news who can engage our audience with proper urgency. That's what we're looking for in our next weekend anchor. This is a working anchor job, not sitting around and reading scripts, you'll need to make phone calls, help write, and collaborate with the producer and desk on coverage. When you're not anchoring, you're reporting. The right candidate will come to story meetings with actionable ideas, stories you come up with through your network of sources. Job description:
Saturday and Sunday 6 &10pm anchor, MMJ three days a week Help on weekends working with on call manager making editorial decisions Write anchor pkgs on weekends when needed Fill-in anchoring other newscasts as needed Assists in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating news programming and other content. Acts as a field reporter as assigned. Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.
Requirements & Skills:
2 years TV news reporting experience Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field Fluency in English. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required. Flexibility to work any shift.
