The Santa Fe New Mexican is seeking an ambitious journalist to cover environment issues statewide, including Los Alamos National Laboratory. This is an elite job for a journalist who wants to work for a locally owned and independent news organization with a longstanding reputation for community engagement and quality journalism. New Mexico has an abundance of beauty and concerns. You'll need to be an authoritative source for our statewide audience on public-policy issues involving water, land, climate, fire, drought, oil/gas, energy, data centers and federal agencies
  • you name it. You'll also be part of our state politics/government team, becoming a leading source on legislative and agency decisions that could impact the New Mexico environment. You'll be: Covering breaking news and delivering exclusive enterprise reporting Contributing across all delivery platforms
