Job Description

KWKT-TV FOX44, a Nexstar Media Inc. station, is looking for a passionate and driven Multimedia Journalist to join our Waco newsroom. This role is central to our mission of delivering fast, accurate, and engaging news across digital and broadcast platforms, with a strong focus on breaking news and community impact across Central Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

Pitch, research, and report local news stories for TV and digital Conduct interviews and gather information from diverse sources Write, shoot, voice, and edit news packages Engage audiences through social media and web platforms Collaborate with producers and news managers to shape coverage Uphold journalistic standards and editorial integrity Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and station goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of reporting experience preferred Strong on-air presence and storytelling skills Proficiency in newsroom technology and editing software Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Valid driver's license and clean driving record Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
