Job Description

Local Reporter The Mountain Messenger has an opening for a full-time local reporter . This is a good opportunity for someone in Greenbrier County, enjoys following local issues, and wants meaningful work in the community.
Duties include:
Attending and reporting on City Council meetings Covering County Commission meetings Covering School Board meetings Writing clear, accurate local news stories Taking notes, asking questions, and following up on community issues Covering occasional local events and community stories as needed Prior newspaper experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, curious, organized, and able to write clearly. Applicants should have reliable transportation, basic computer skills, and the ability to attend evening meetings. This can be a p art-time or full-time position
Pay:
$200.00 - $600.00 per week
