Job Description
Key Responsibilities Research global trends, color palettes, and innovative yarn developments. Create detailed tech packs with stitch specifications and tension guides. Sketch original concepts and build comprehensive digital presentation boards. Select appropriate yarn fibers, weights, and gauge structures for production. Partner with factories to oversee the prototyping and sample fitting process. Troubleshoot technical knitting issues during the sample development stage. Collaborate with merchandisers to align designs with cost and margin targets. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience specifically in industrial knitwear design. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop/Illustrator. Strong knowledge of fully-fashioned knitting, cut-and-sew knits, and stitch techniques. Experience communicating technical specifications directly with overseas manufacturers. Deep understanding of fabric construction, and garment fit.
