Job Description
LA28 does not provide relocation assistance. LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles' third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles. Manager, Venue Look of the Games The Manager, Venue Look of the Games will play a pivotal role in bringing the visual identity of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games to life across a designated venue zone , which includes multiple competition and non ‑ competition venues. Embedded within the Look & Signage (LNS) team, this role is responsible for scoping, planning, delivering, maintaining, and decommissioning Look elements at both their own assigned venue and the additional venues within their zone , ensuring alignment with the overarching Games ‑ wide strategy. The Manager, Venue Look of the Games reports to the Senior Manager, Look of the Games.
Key Responsibilities:
Venue & Zone Design + Delivery Collaborate with the central design team to interpret and apply the Look Kit of Parts across all venues in the assigned zone Translate Games ‑ wide creative direction into actionable venue ‑ specific plans that reflect the LA28 brand and enhance the athlete and spectator experience Provide feedback on design feasibility and placement based on venue constraints, operational needs, and stakeholder input Ensure consistency of design application, scoping methodology, and documentation across all venues in the zone Manager and present venue and zone ‑ level plans to internal and external stakeholders, championing the LA28 brand and vision throughout every phase of delivery Zone Oversight & Staff Support Provide guidance, mentorship, and daily support to Venue Look Associates assigned to other venues in the zone Review and validate scoping documents prepared by Venue Look Associates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with zone ‑ wide standards Serve as the first point of escalation for zone ‑ level questions, risks, and cross ‑ venue coordination needs Foster a collaborative, aligned working environment across all Look staff in the zone Venue Integration & Planning Partner with venue teams to understand operational plans, layouts, and timelines, integrating Look delivery seamlessly into broader venue readiness efforts Develop and maintain detailed scope documents for the Manager's own venue, while overseeing the quality and consistency of scoping across the zone Participate in venue walkthroughs, readiness exercises, and planning meetings to ensure Look elements are accurately represented and prioritized Games ‑ Time Operations Transition to an on ‑ site leadership role during Games ‑ time, overseeing installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of Look assets at the Manager's assigned venue Oversee Venue Look Associates at other venues in the zone as needed, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to brand standards Serve as the primary Look and Brand representative at the Manager's venue, resolving issues in real time and coordinating with Venue Management, central LNS, Brand, and other Functional Areas Cross ‑ Functional Collaboration Work closely with Brand, Sport, Broadcast, Photo, Venue Infrastructure, and other key Functional Areas to determine optimal placement and visibility of Look assets Communicate Look plans clearly to both LNS and venue teams, ensuring alignment and shared understanding of goals and constraints. Support stakeholder presentations and reviews, showcasing venue and zone ‑ level plans and how they contribute to a unified Games experience Reporting & Communication Maintain regular communication with the Senior Manager, Look of the Games, providing updates on progress, risks, and opportunities across the zone Consolidate zone ‑ level reporting to ensure leadership has a clear view of readiness and challenges Document lessons learned and contribute to post ‑ Games reporting to inform future Olympic and Paralympic planning efforts Champion the LA28 Look strategy within venue teams, reinforcing the importance of a cohesive and impactful visual identity.Background & Requirements:
5+ years of experience in event operations, venue management, design implementation, or related fields—ideally within sports, entertainment, or cultural events Experience leading or mentoring junior staff or managing multiple workstreams simultaneously Ability to manage projects with multiple moving parts, shifting timelines, and diverse teams Familiarity with venue environments, including how different functional areas (e.g., Sport, Broadcast, Infrastructure) interact Comfortable working with contractors or vendors to deliver physical assets or services Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly share plans and updates Organized and proactive, with a willingness to adapt and problem ‑ solve in dynamic situations Basic proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, or similar platforms) Strategic mindset, operational rigor, and strong communication skills to ensure each venue reflects a unified, franchise‑ quality Look that resonates with athletes, spectators, and global audiencesExpectations:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in project management, sports marketing or related fieldPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, espe cially during peak event periods Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may in clude operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Duties may include standing and walking at events or venues Must be able to lift and carry light materials as needed The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00- $115,000.
