Learn more by visiting www.rickengineering.com 3-D Laser Scanning Specialist - Revit Modeler (position level varies pending experience and qualifications) San Diego, CA We create highly accurate 3D as-built models of the built environment, of existing facilities in support of exciting rehabilitation and modernization projects for design professionals and contractors. Projects range for medical centers, the reimagining of the retail mall space, underground tunnels, universities, world famous zoos, stadiums and arenas and to the facilities that support the public wellbeing: sewer and wastewater treatment facilities, power generation stations, storm drainage structures, and culturally significant facilities such as 100 year old churches, former world fair sites, and the worlds shortest railway to name a few. Position is primarily of a 3D Revit modeler and will assist the Reality Capture Department in providing services related to reality capture, data collection, post processing and modeling. The modeling intent is to establish the true geometric alignment, size and position of built objects, we create the 'digital twin' of existing facilities. Tasks will primarily be performed in the office on a modeling workstation. Some field work will occur from time to time. Qualifications Candidate will have a BS in Engineering ( Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural ), Surveying, Construction, Architecture, or minimum equivalent and related work experience of 4 years. Technical Experience Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in production modeling (design or construction) using the Autodesk Revit platform and or BIM Coordination using the results of 3D laser scanning/reality capture. Experience may include architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing or fire protection. Experience with 3D Laser Scanning or terrestrial lidar is a plus and may include: field procedures, registration and modeling/compiling with using the Leica Cyclone suite of products. Experience in other technology platforms is considered relevant. A basic understanding of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process is required. Miscellaneous Requirements Position requires a good driving record and ability to carry 40 lbs of equipment to the jobsite. Travel out of town and overnight is a requirement of this position.What We Offer Generous Benefits Package:
