Foreman - Tradeshows & Events Valley Rockford, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $16 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Qualifications Microsoft Outlook Basic math In-person customer service Forklift High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Event customer service Hand tools Grammar Experience Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description This position is responsible for installing and dismantling the equipment required to operate a functioning trade show, including loading and unloading of trailers and set-up of equipment. Will handle all phases of the trade show, lead crews, layout booths and work with the client and convention hall employees. Position requires customer service skills and some travel to nationwide convention centers. Work as a Tradeshow Helper when scheduled to work in a role other than as a lead person or as an Expo Foreman. Job includes, but not limited to the following: 25% Show set-up including floor (mapping out bases, crossbars, uprights, registration and drape, booth carpet). Also includes working with the client, facility employees and exhibitors. Assisting exhibitors during show. 25% Show tear-down including working with client, convention hall employees and exhibitors. Handling inbound and outbound freight. 20% Supervising and training labor and others; approving timecards. 10% Pre-Planning and prepping equipment for the show. 10% Completing invoices, show summaries, and other required documents. 5% Loading and unloading equipment trailers. 5% Installation and dismantle of displays / exhibits for clients.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Flexible Schedule 2. Valid Illinois or Wisconsin Driver's License. Valid CDL preferred but is willing to train. 3. Good Driving Record 4. Ability to Operate a Forklift 4. Knowledge of the Use of Small Hand Tools 5. Think Critically and Problem Solve 6. Good Judgment 7. Organizational Skills 8. Good Oral and Written Communication Skills 9. Proficient in Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar, Basic Business Math 10. Knowledge of Basic Office Equipment 11. Basic understanding of Microsoft office outlook
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related experience.
