Status:
Temporary, part-time, non-exempt employment on a W-2.
Compensation:
This is a non-exempt W2 position (eligible for overtime) with an hourly rate of $20/hour (overtime rate is $30/hour). Anticipated 45 regular hours during July 13 through August 14. Payments to be remitted in the week following work hours (typically on Thursday/Friday), based on the submission ofpleted timesheets.

Responsibilities:
The 2026 production ofA Midsummer Night's Dream celebrates our 30th year of sharing Free Shakespeare productions with Greater Boston audiences. The Paint Charge willplete paint notes and maintenance tasks throughout the run of the show and coordinate with all other staff and departments to achieve a safe and efficient workplace.
Responsibilities include:
Scenic Build and Production Install Planning Paint newly built and recycled scenic pieces as they are finished Work with the Technical Director and Scenic Designer to plan and execute work notes Collaborate with the Technical Director to plan install, notes, maintenance, and strike.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in professional or academic theatre 2+ years experience in theatrical painting or a related field Excellentanizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Personal vehicle a plus
Onsite Job Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50lbs Ability to navigate stairs and uneven terrain Ability to navigate in low-light and outdoor settings Valid driver's license 18+ years of age Experience with and ability to meet all duties and responsibilities as listed above
