Martin McDonagh Description:
Colonial Chorus Players of Reading, MA, is seeking a director for our October 2026 production of The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh. This position is offered a stipend of $1,000. This dark, satirical play weaves aplex tale about life and art, fact and illusion, politics and society, and creative freedom and censorship. A recipient of two Tony Awards and two Drama Desk Awards,The Pillowman will be presented October 2-11, 2026, at the Old Hose House Theater in Reading.
Qualifications:
Experience directing at themunity theater, college, or high school level. Ability to work within budget set by producers of show. Ability to collaborate with a team of designers for set, costumes, props, lighting, and sound.
