Job Description
Associate Designer, Women's Ready-to-Wear Lily Apparel Holdings | Shanghai Silk Corp. Lily Apparel Holdings is seeking an Associate Designer, Women's Ready-to-Wear to support two exciting Dillard's private label businesses: AERYS for Dillard's, a newly launched contemporary lifestyle brand, and Westbound, Dillard's established casual lifestyle collection. This role will work closely with the Creative Director and support the development of seasonal collections across all women's categories. We are looking for someone with strong design instincts, exceptional taste level, and a deep understanding of product, storytelling, and customer-driven merchandising.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of seasonal collections across all RTW categories including: Woven tops and bottoms Knit tops and bottoms Dresses Sweaters Jackets and outerwear Support concept development through trend research, storytelling, color direction, and merchandising Create CADs, technical flats, presentation materials, tech packs and design boards Recolor, rework, and reposition prints to align with seasonal stories and customer needs Build and maintain cohesive color palettes and category flow Partner closely with cross-functional teams throughout development and execution Support presentation preparation and line reviews Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive landscapeQualifications:
3-5+ years experience in Women's Ready-to-Wear design Strong experience across multiple product categories Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Strong understanding of print, color, merchandising, and seasonal storytelling Ability to recolor and manipulate prints with a strong eye for placement and balance Highly organized with strong attention to detail Strong understanding of the Dillard's customer and product positioning Excellent taste level with a strong point of view and understanding of what drives sell-through Ability to balance creativity with commercial thinking Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Health insurance fully covered, 401K offered. Portfolio submission required.Interview Process:
Interview process will begin immediately. Candidates should be prepared to visually communicate their taste level, design point of view, and understanding of both brand positioning and customer mindset for AERYS and Westbound.
