Job Description

Overview:
The Webster is Hartford's premier concert venue, hosting a diverse lineup of live music and events. We're looking for a skilled and passionate Sound Technician to join our team and ensure top-quality audio experiences for performers and audiences alike.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot live sound equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and speakers. Conduct sound checks and work closely with artists, production teams, and venue staff to achieve the best possible sound. Adjust audio levels during performances to maintain clarity and balance. Maintain and repair sound equipment as needed. Assist with stage setup and breakdown before and after shows. Ensure all audio equipment is properly stored and organized. Adhere to safety and technical standards for live events.
Skills:
Previous experience mixing sound for live bands, preferred. Basic knowledge of lighting and stage production is a plus. Experience in live sound engineering, preferably in a concert or music venue setting. Proficiency with digital and analog mixing consoles (Specifically, X32/M32 Consoles). Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of various audio equipment brands and setups. Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment. Availability for nights, weekends, and flexible hours based on show schedules. Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions within a fast-paced, live performance environment. Safety-conscious mindset and a commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment. A passion for live performances and a desire to contribute to the creative process.
