TBD (11 Shooting Days) Position Summary Lebby Films is seeking a dedicated Boom Operator to join the production of

DARE TO LOVE

, a romantic comedy/crime thriller feature film. The Boom Operator will work closely with the Production Sound Mixer to capture clean, professional dialogue throughout principal photography. The ideal candidate understands boom placement, actor movement, and maintaining consistent audio quality while staying out of frame during dynamic camera setups. This role requires someone who can anticipate blocking, communicate effectively with the camera department, and work efficiently in a fast-paced independent film environment. Responsibilities Operate a boom microphone during all dialogue scenes. Work closely with the Production Sound Mixer to ensure high-quality audio capture. Anticipate actor movement and camera framing. Maintain proper boom placement while avoiding shadows and frame intrusion. Assist with microphone setup, cable management, and equipment organization. Capture room tone and wild tracks as directed. Collaborate with the Director, DP, and 1st AC to ensure audio needs are met without interrupting production. Preferred Qualifications Previous narrative film experience preferred. Familiarity with boom operation techniques for scripted productions. Ability to work long production days in a collaborative environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing production needs.
