Job Description

The Audio Aesthetics & Technology department in the School of Communications is looking for adjunct instructors - Responsibilities include but are not limited to, teaching 1-3 courses per semester in the subject of, Audio Media with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues. Note that this announcement aims to solicit applications in order to identify a pool of adjunct faculty who are qualified to teach undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in various modalities. Teaching assignments vary based on departmental needs. Applicants must possess a BA degree and/or a minimum of five years of professional experience in the relevant industry. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in any or all of the following: Expertise in any or all of the following areas: sound design, audio recording, editing, mixing, Foley artistry, and field recording. Additional teaching experience and a master's degree will be a significant advantage.
