Job Description
Technical Arts Group is seeking qualified specialist to work full-time in the warehouse Audio Department. TAG is a full service production company located in Moonachie, New Jersey. We handle audio, video, lighting, staging, trucking, installations, labor, & project management for events and clients of all sizes. As we prepare to enter the busy fall season, we are looking to grow our shop team and we hope you can be the right fit! Responsibilities Work alongside fellow audio department crew to fulfill orders for upcoming jobs or rentals. Build & wire audio racks as designed by the Project Manager. Perform a quality-control routine on all equipment returning from a job site, and be sure it returns to the shelf in 100% cleaned & working order. Become familiar with the inventory management software used by the company. Perform software & firmware updates on electronics as they become available. Must make note of damages or malfunctions of any gear to department lead. Be comfortable making basic repairs (i.e. speaker replacement or wiring correction). Experience with a soldering iron is a plus. Set up or assist in setup of equipment for in-house prep and/or client demos. Must be able to work with people with a team mind set Prepare equipment for shipping with proper wrapping or crating techniques. Move equipment throughout the shop or onto and off trucks Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Must be able to work overtime and weekends when the job requires. Qualifications Basic understanding of audio science, and its application in live production. Basic understanding of large-scale audio system design & deployment, particularly related to d&b Audiotechnik. Understanding of d&B R1 & ArrayCalc softwares are a huge plus. Basic understanding of digital audio mixing, and the consoles used to route it, particularly those designed by DigiCo, Avid, and Yamaha. Basic understanding of RF systems by Shure & Sennheiser. Understanding of frequency coordination and Wireless Workbench software is a huge plus. Basic understanding of wireless COMM systems (Clear-Com, Riedel). Strong proficiency with COMM systems is a huge plus. Basic understanding of audio networking. Experience with backline is a huge plus. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines. Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment, under pressure, and time constraints. •Note the qualifications above describe our ideal candidate.
