This role manages all aspects of live audio for weekend performances including equipment transport, stage setup, soundcheck, live mixing, and post‑show breakdown. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and confident running sound independently in a busy taproom environment. The Sound Tech is expected to stay familiar with the 111 performance schedule and consistently arrive prepared for all assigned shifts. All equipment must be returned to the warehouse organized and properly stored after each event. This position primarily works Friday and Saturday evenings with occasional full‑day Saturday festival events. If the Sound Tech cannot work a scheduled shift, they must notify their supervisor at least two weeks in advance to ensure proper coverage. Job Responsibilities Equipment Management Transport audio equipment from the warehouse and complete stage setup one and a half to two hours before showtime Configure microphones, monitors, and audio inputs for all performers Conduct soundcheck thirty to forty five minutes before showtime Break down, organize, and repack all equipment after the performance Return all equipment to the warehouse before leaving the venue Audio Mixing Follow all Marble Brewery training and operational guidelines Mix and EQ live audio throughout performances to maintain consistent sound quality Collaboration and Communication Communicate professionally with taproom staff and musicians Work cooperatively with performers to ensure smooth soundcheck and a successful live performance Qualifications Two or more years of experience running live sound for bands, DJs, or events Strong understanding of live audio signal flow Experience with PA systems, stage monitors, and subwoofers Proficiency with digital mixing consoles Ability to ring out monitors and tune a PA to reduce feedback and improve clarity Experience mic'ing live instruments and vocals Ability to run soundchecks and communicate clearly with musicians about monitor mixes and levels Skilled at live mixing and balancing vocals, instruments, and stage volume in real time Ability to troubleshoot audio issues quickly and effectively Experience with stage setup, teardown, and patching for multiple performers Knowledge of basic stage layout and microphone placement for small to mid‑size bands Ability to lift and move audio equipment typically forty to sixty pounds Strong organizational skills to maintain equipment, cables, and stage inventory Working Conditions This role requires independent management of live sound operations and close coordination with taproom staff and musicians. The Sound Tech must adapt quickly to performer needs while maintaining professional audio standards. The position includes weekend evening shifts and occasional full‑day Saturday festival events.
