Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sound and Light Technician to elevate live concert experiences for full bands. This role is vital in creating immersive atmospheres, ensuring flawless audio and lighting setups, and supporting the overall production quality of live performances. As a key member of our technical team, you will bring concerts to life with your expertise, passion, and attention to detail, delivering memorable shows that captivate audiences from start to finish. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes of vibrant live events and showcase your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up, test, and operate sound equipment including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and speakers to ensure optimal audio quality during concerts. Design and execute lighting plans that enhance the mood, focus, and visual impact of each performance. Coordinate with performers and production teams to understand technical requirements and adapt setups accordingly. Troubleshoot technical issues swiftly during live shows to minimize disruptions and maintain high-quality sound and lighting. Manage signal processing equipment to ensure clear audio transmission and balanced sound levels throughout the event. Assist with filming or recording performances when needed, utilizing videography skills for post-production use. Maintain all sound and lighting gear, perform routine inspections, and ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready for each event. Skills Proven experience working as a sound or light technician in live concert settings for full bands. Strong knowledge of audio equipment including mixers, microphones, signal processing devices, and sound reinforcement systems. Skilled in lighting design software and hardware setup for dynamic stage effects. Familiarity with video production tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid for post-production editing when capturing footage from events. Ability to operate cameras for filming performances with an understanding of videography principles. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly during live events. Knowledge of content creation techniques related to video editing and post-production workflows.
